Master Points

Electronic Submission of Master Points to the EBU (explanation by Jenny Garner)

We are now transmitting MPs electronically directly to the EBU for those players who are EBU members.  This will be done at the end of each quarter.

Our scoring program, ScoreBridge, prints out a summary, which shows for each person (sorted by surname) a list of all points, totaled, for the relevant period.  There are separate sections for those submitted electronically, printed, or ignored.  These will be put in the results file, so that you can check if you want to.

You can also check that the EBU has updated them correctly by looking at their website.  (N.B.  It can take up to a week for them to update their database.)

For those of you who aren't very familiar with navigating websites, you do it as follows:

1. Log onto the EBU website by entering www.ebu.co.uk  in the address line of your browser.

2.      Left-click on "Master Points" in the left-hand column.

3.      On the next screen, left-click on "Check Points on line" in the right-hand column.

4.      Enter your EBU number in the box that then appears in the centre of the screen and click the "Check" button.
This will bring up a screen showing your EBU rank and master point totals.

5.      Click on your rank, and this will bring up a screen showing the details of the points added.  The total of your submitted points should be shown on the details page, with a source of "SB FARNHAM BC".
